St. Julian’s Penthouse

In this newly built penthouse, Studio NiCHE redefines short-stay living through a balance of functionality, warmth, and Mediterranean character. The design layers traditional tile motifs and lime-based plaster with modernist geometry and soft, sun-baked hues. A cube-shaped terracotta zone anchors the layout, housing a custom kitchen and an oversized self-irrigating planter that blurs boundaries between nature and interior space. Colour-blocked walls, textured stone surfaces, and fluted details add rhythm and lightness, while playful lighting and bespoke joinery enhance the sense of crafted ease. The result is a joyful, inward-looking retreat that feels both rooted and refreshingly contemporary.
